Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
We know that many people invest in insurance, and we are committed to making care accessible without limiting your options. While we do not bill insurance directly, we provide a detailed superbill with the necessary codes and documentation, allowing you to seek reimbursement on your own terms. This approach allows you to be the decision maker in your care, and keeps our rates affordable while giving you the flexibility to make the best choices for your health.
I don't have insurance, can I afford care?
Many of our patients do not have insurance or are self-employed. We do accept individualized structured payments for care, can offer subscription-based wellness memberships, or we can refer you to reputable medical cost share programs which will reimburse for our care.
Is this the right practice for me?
We are dedicated to providing the highest quality care, but true, lasting results come from an active partnership. Our approach works best for individuals who are committed to their well-being and ready to take an active role in their health journey. By implementing the guidance and strategies we provide, patients can achieve meaningful, long-term improvements in their health. If you're looking for a practice that empowers you with knowledge, tools, and support to take charge of your health, we may be a great fit for you.
Do you offer pain management, addiction recovery, or prescribe medications?
We focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of pain through integrative approaches, including functional medicine, lifestyle changes, and hands-on modalities. However, we do not provide medication-based pain management, addiction recovery services, or prescription management. Patients in need of these services should seek care from a provider specializing in those areas. Our approach is best suited for individuals looking for a comprehensive, lifestyle-focused path to improving their well-being.
Are you licensed?
Every provider in our office is either licensed or certified to practice their specialty in Maine. We work integratively amongst ourselves and with your primary care provider to make sure that you have all of the knowledge you need to make informed decisions.
What if I don't have a primary care provider?
Our nurse practitioner is more than happy to meet with you and act as a primary care provider for testing and referrals, if you need one.
